I AM A RESPONSIBLE MALTESE BREEDER

My puppies are raised at home, with love, and in the comfort of plenty.

Melitica Maltese emerged from a deep desire to breed this aristocratic dog from the carefully
chosen bloodlines renowned for their beauty, their lustrous coats, sweet personalities, and
their graceful, elegant movement.

I am a responsible breeder whose aim is to produce a sound stock of dogs raised in very loving surroundings. A serious, hobby breeder who only keeps a few quality dogs, I believe I offer my puppies the advantage of being raised in an exceptional atmosphere…an atmosphere of warm personal attention and socialization.

I hope that the puppy of such heritage, reared with love and in the comfort of plenty, will bring you as much joy as the happiness it has brought into my life.

I am a rare, hobby breeder who breeds exclusively for a show. My females come from the best bloodlines, recognized internationally as the finest among the breed. My sires are carefully chosen from the elite breeders of merit by the AKC.

I do not sell puppies to a commercial breeder, nor can my puppies be bought at a pet store, or found on the internet. My aim is to breed dogs that will so closely conform to the standards of the perfect Maltese, that any omission from those standards would be so minuscule that only I, and the trained eye of a judge, would keep them from competing in a show ring. To breed such beautiful puppies, puppies that would be free of congenital diseases, is a dream of mine, and the pervasive passion of my life.

PUPPY ADOPTION

My puppies are adopted strictly with the contract, and only with a spay/neuter agreement. They will all be chipped prior to adoption.

Each puppy comes with a health certificate against congenital diseases, as well as proof that it has been vaccinated. At the time of adoption, the puppy has received all three recommended puppy vaccinations, and will need a one year DHLP BOOSTER, at the age of 16 weeks.

LIFE THREATENING HELATH GUARANTEE AND THE RETURN POLICY

The Adopter has the right to return the puppy for any reason within 72 hours since adoption, for a full refund of ADOPTED FEES, provided that neglect, or accident has not occurred. If the puppy develops any congenital, life threatening health issues within one year, the replacement of this dog will be made, upon receipt of written statement from a veterinary, with the one of full, equal value, from the breeder’s next available litter.

Adding a dog to your life should be a well thought out process. However, if at any time you can no longer give it the attention, and the care it deserves and needs, you should return it to me. My home remains a safe sanctuary for my Maltese, no matter how sick or old it may be.

MY PUPPIES COME EXCLUSIVELY WITH THE REGISTRATION OF THE AKC.

  • Each show quality puppy comes with its contract, and an exclusive American Kennel Club pedigree.
  • Each puppy placed as a pet comes with American Kennel Club limited registration papers, and an adoption agreement.
  • Since there are, basically, two forms of AKC registration – Full and Limited it is both important and useful to understand the difference in each case.
  • Full Registration – and this would be of interest primarily to breeders – permits dogs to be competitively entered in all AKC sanctioned events and shown, competitively, in conformation rings.
  • Limited registration, on the other hand, while still confirming that the dog comes from a fully Registered Maltese line, and still allowing for its entry into AKC competitive events on agility and obedience, does not permit the thus-registered dog to compete in the conformation ring. The Limited Registration dog, while it can be upgraded to Full, is essentially a pet and sold as such. Its offspring would not be eligible for registration. The Full Registration dog, on the other hand, is a show dog, and whatever puppies it may have can be registered in either the Full or the Limited category.

Our Home is in Connecticut, New England

I live in a small town in woodsy Connecticut, a pleasant, leisurely, one hour drive from New York. My precious family of small, elysian Maltese dogs share with me a comfortable house beside a river in a garden of flowering trees.

My Maltese engage me in a myriad of loving ways, from the moment I am awakened by the murmuring river, the chirping of the birds, and yes, their happy barking, to the time when night softly descends on our garden, and my puppies, exhausted from romping and play, find rest at the foot of my bed, or in their own doggy nooks.

We are a happy family and all very much at home here.
